We took our first family trip to the pumpkin patch at Huber's this year!  As we roamed the pumpkin field, it dawned on me (Jayna), that this was the first time for even Kurt and ME to do this.  I've been to farms before, but it wasn't a tradition when I was young.  In fact, I remember we grew pumpkins a time or two, so it wasn't necessary to trek out to the pumpkin patch.  Many times, we just bought our pumpkins the old fashioned way:  at the grocery store.  We found a nice round, but rather bumpy pumpkin to be our family pumpkin this year.  Unfortunately, the week after we brought it home, it started rotting on the bottom.  So, we ended up choosing our pumpkin the old-fashioned way again:  at the grocery store.

Charlotte didn't care much for the pumpkins.  She was content to snuggle Daddy.
